Janice Graham Newkirk Scholarship for Library and Information Science Education: 2006
The Janice Graham Newkirk Scholarship Committee, Cathy Dwyer, Ellen McCabe, and Barbara Via, received a number of excellent applications for this inaugural round of the scholarship. We received applications from the schools at Albany and Syracuse. After careful review and deliberation, we selected the following to receive scholarships this year.- Christina Connor - UAlbany Department of Information Studies
- Charlotte Widomski – U Albany Department of Information Studies
- Susan Yoo - Syracuse U School of Information Studies
Each student will receive a scholarship check in the amount of $3000. We have invited the students to attend our Spring conference where we will award the checks.
