The Eastern New York Chapter of ACRL invites proposals for poster sessions at its Spring Conference, May 15, 2006 at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. The theme of the Spring Conference is "Data is the answer. What is the question?" The program will focus on ways to use data to improve library services as well as examining the ethics involved in data use.

Poster sessions are informal presentations made from 3 - 4 pm the day of the conference. We are all facing the challenges associated with collecting and using data to improve our libraries. This is an opportunity for librarians to highlight their libraries and to share their successful ideas with colleagues by presenting a research study, a practical problem-solving effort or an innovative library program. In-progress research is welcome.

The window of opportunity for submitting a poster session application is March 13- April 19, 2006. Candidates will be notified by or on April 21, 2006. Presenters will be given free conference registration.

Possible topics:

  • LIBQUAL
  • Circulation data
