{"id":757,"date":"2013-02-27T14:58:42","date_gmt":"2013-02-27T19:58:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/enyacrl.s468.sureserver.com\/site\/?p=757"},"modified":"2013-02-27T14:58:42","modified_gmt":"2013-02-27T19:58:42","slug":"call-for-lightning-round-and-poster-session-presenters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.enyacrl.org\/site\/call-for-lightning-round-and-poster-session-presenters\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for lightning round and poster session presenters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ENY\/ACRL invites presenters for Lightning Round and Poster Sessions at its Spring Conference which will be held <b>Monday, May 20, 2013<\/b>, at the University at Albany\u2019s downtown campus in Albany, NY.\u00a0 This meeting will focus on user experience (UX) and libraries, including learning about UX methodology and exploring how it can be incorporated into the design of library services in order to improve patron satisfaction.<\/p>\n<p><h3>Lightning Rounds<\/h3>\n<p><b>* Presentations are limited to 5 minutes!!<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0 Share a quick overview of your ideas, experience, and programs related to any and all forms of designing effective user experiences: for collections, public services, internal work, IT, cataloging, outreach, metrics, what works, what doesn\u2019t, etc.\n<\/p>\n<h3>Poster Sessions<\/h3>\n<p>Poster sessions are an excellent opportunity to share your ideas, research findings, projects, solutions to problems, or best practices.\u00a0 Posters should relate to the conference theme of user experience design and implementation.\u00a0 Posters will be on display throughout the day.\u00a0 Presenters must be available to discuss their topics at least one hour at a time or times yet to be determined.<\/p>\n<p><b>All proposals should include<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Presenter\u2019s name (If there is more than one presenter, choose one person to be the contact.)<\/li>\n<li>Institution<\/li>\n<li>Contact information including phone number, fax number, email, and mailing address<\/li>\n<li>Title of presentation<\/li>\n<li>Technology, electricity and space needs<\/li>\n<li>Summary description of less than 250 words<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Send Lightning Round proposals to:<\/b><br \/>\nScott Warren, <a href=\"mailto:sawarr01@syr.edu\">sawarr01@syr.edu<\/a><br \/>\n315-443-8339<br \/>\nSyracuse University Library<br \/>\n222 Waverly Avenue<br \/>\nSyracuse, NY 13210<\/p>\n<p><b>Send Poster Session proposals to:<\/b><br \/>\nTarida Anantachai, <a href=\"mailto:tanantac@syr.edu\">tanantac@syr.edu<\/a><br \/>\n315-443-9780<br \/>\nSyracuse University Library<br \/>\n222 Waverly Avenue<br \/>\nSyracuse, NY 13210<\/p>\n<p><b>Deadline<\/b> for proposals is March 11, 2013.
