On behalf of Empire State College and The University at Albany, State University of New York, we are pleased to invite you to one of the State University of New York-funded Conversations in the Disciplines. The topic for this Conversation is Developing Metaliterate Learners: Transforming Literacy across Disciplines.
The colloquium will be held on Friday, December 13 from 8:30 to 4:30 at SUNY Empire State College, Center for Distance Learning, 113 West Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY.
The Conversation will be divided into two sessions – a morning session, which will focus on the topic of metaliteracy and how it relates to a variety of disciplines, and an afternoon session, which will focus on developing the metaliterate learner from the student perspective. To round out this perspective, undergraduate and graduate student speakers will join academic panelists.
This event is free, but space is limited. We hope you will join in this important and timely discussion. The deadline for registration is Monday, December 2, 2013. To view the conference schedule, please go to metaliteracy.org
